Accessories (Solar Panel)
The Complete Node can be equipped with the Solar Panel accessory to operate as a fully standalone, self-sufficient device. The Solar Panel supplies energy during sunlight hours, while the internal or external battery stores this energy to maintain uninterrupted power delivery both day and night, even in remote locations.
The solar panel includes a USB cable that can be connected either to the FOSSA External Battery Module or directly to the FOSSA Nexus, depending on the application requirements.

The Solar Panel accessory’s fixing holes follow the VESA standard and are represented in the following Figure:

If FOSSA Nexus is in solar mounting mode, adjust the angle between the support base and the solar panel to your latitude inclination (approximately) to maximize the efficiency of the solar panel.
The exact angle can be calculated with the mean value of the results of the following equations:
Winter angle [degrees] = (abs(latitude)·0.9) + 29
Summer angle [degrees] = (abs(latitude)·0.9) - 23.5
Equinox angle [degrees] = (abs(latitude)) - 2.5
As an example, for Madrid (Spain) location, which is situated at 40.4º latitude. Explanation:

ATTENTION Any angle is possible with the use of the friction hinge. The lateral screw can be used to reinforce the lock into any angle.
- Adjust the angle between the support base and the solar panel to the angle to maximize the efficiency of the solar panel (see steps for solar mounting). Fix the position.
- Adjust the FOSSA Nexus base to the tripod and screw them together to secure the installation.
A more optimized angle for the client can be requested to FOSSA.
